Pumpkin Prayer

The Pumpkin Prayer to use while carving a pumpkin. I have no idea

who wrote it, but we love it and use it every year.

Dear Jesus,
As I carve my pumpkin, help me pray this prayer:
Open my mind so I can learn about You

(Cut the top off the pumpkin)
Take all my sin and forgive the wrong that I do

(clean out the inside)
Open my eyes so Your love  will see

(cut eyes shaped like hearts)
I'm sorry for times I've turned up my nose at what You've given to

(Cut a noes in the shape of a cross)
Open my ears so Your Word I will hear

(cut ears shaped like the Bible)
Open my mouth to tell others You're near

(cut the mouth in the shape of a fish)
Let Your light shine in all I say and do!

(place candle inside and light it)

Then, if you want to take it a step further, there are scriptures to

correlate with this:

Open my mind....Know that the Lord is God - Psalm 100:3 NKJV

Take all my sin... If we confess our sins, He is faithful an just to

forgive us  - I John 1:9 NKJV

Open my Eyes...  Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things

from Your law - Psalm 119:18 NKJV

I'm sorry - Create in me a clean heart, O God - Psalm 51:10 NKJV

Open my ears.... Incline your ear, and come to Me - Isaiah 55:3

Open my mouth to tell others..... I shall...declare the works of the

Lord - Psalm 118:17 NKJV

Let Your light shine.... [Jesus said] "Let your light so shine before

men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in

heaven."  Matthew 5:15 NKJV

For the instructions go here.

Confetti this!

Isn't this the neatest thing. I just love the look. Kim over at Made in a Day shows us how. They look really simple to make. If any of you make it please share your pictures. These are fax pumpkins so you can use them year after year. While you are at Kim's page at the top right are links to her Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest and more. thanks Kim for sharing!
